Praised for their "powerful" and "heartfelt" interpretations of classical and ethnic repertoire, Sima Trio is quickly becoming one of the leading young trios of its generation. Highly acclaimed artists, violinist Sami Merdinian, cellist Ani Kalayjian, and pianist Sofya Melikyan have performed at such major venues as Carnegie Hall, Teatro Colón, Seoul Arts Center, Shanghai Theatre, Orange County Performing Arts Center and Yerevan (Armenia) Philharmonic Hall.

Connected by their Armenian heritage, the members of this New York based ensemble are highly sought-after soloists and chamber musicians. All three artists boast a long list of prizes awarded in international competitions and performances world-wide.
