Meadowood String Quartet: Betty Bliss and Marilyn Page, violins; Stefan Vaughan, viola; Eric Jones, ‘cello. Meadowood Quartet is an active chamber group being much in demand for weddings and other special events, featuring quartets written by Classical and Romantic composers.

Trimusica at the 2008-2009 Fortuna Concert Series

Trimusica: Ellen Weiss, oboe and English horn; Mark Creaghe, ‘cello; Betty Creaghe, piano. Since there is a small amount of music for this combination, the members have skillfully integrated works for other combinations into their repertoire.

Camerata at the 2008-2009 Fortuna Concert Series
Humboldt Camerata: Virginia Ryder and Lanadawn Nusz, oboes; Paul Cummings and Kenneth Ayoob, clarinets; Val Phillips and Bob Peoples, horns; and Justin Sousa and Aaron Lopz, bassoons.

Humboldt Camerata: Virginia Ryder and Lanadawn Nusz, oboes; Paul Cummings and Kenneth Ayoob, clarinets; Val Phillips and Bob Peoples, horns; and Justin Sousa and Aaron Lopz, bassoons. This group of instrumentalists performs masterworks for wind instruments. The ensemble varies in size and for the Fortuna Concert Series program, they will appear as a wind octet.

Trombones@4: George Epperson, Doug Beckstead and Doug Hendricks, trombones; Dick LaForge, bass trombone and tuba. This group studies and performs music representing a wide swath of music history, from the Renaissance to the present time.

Coordinator for this program is hornist and conductor Valgene Phillips, Emeritus Professor of Music at Humboldt State University, Director Emeritus of the Humboldt Chamber Music Workshop and founder of the Brass Chamber Music Workshop.

Concert time is 8:00 p.m. at the Fortuna Monday Club, 610 Main Street in Fortuna. Ticket prices are $8.00 General Admission and $6.00 Students and Seniors.
