Emil and Josiah Altschuler with Issa Stemler

Emil Altschuler is an outstanding violinist of his generation and possesses a richness of sound that is truly extraordinary. He has presented solo recitals throughout the United States and Italy, and has been featured soloist with the Aspen Young Artists' Orchestra and the Binghamton Philharmonic.

Josiah Altschuler, guitar, will join his brother, Emil, on several works arranged for violin and guitar. He is an artist and professional graphic designer and also works as a research scientist at Harvard University.

Issa Stemler, piano, is no stranger to Humboldt County, having graduated from Humboldt State University where she studied with Deborah Clasquin. Issa also was a soloist with the Humboldt State University Symphony after winning the concerto competition. We look forward to hearing her play again together with the Altschulers.

As a classical recital comprised of well-known works for violin and piano as well as works for violin and guitar, this program is sure to please long-time classical music fans.
