Susie Laraine and the Dragonfly Jazz Trio

Susie Laraine, saxophonist and flutist, has had 2 years experience playing in casuals, clubs, small combos, and big bands in the Bay Area. She studied 5 years with recording artist Joe Henderson as well as with other Bay Area musicians.

The Dragonfly Jazz Trio features Susie on tenor sax, flute, alto flute and bass flute; Shao Way Wu on string bass; and Blake Brown on guitar. The trio working toward an integration of the three voices as melodically interdependent, rather than the traditional way of featuring one voice accompanied by the others. This exciting trio has performed numerous local events this past year and will treat us to an evening of standards and originals, straight ahead jazz, and bossa novas.
